Flotation Plant

A flotation plant efficiently separates solids and oils from water. Wastewater is normally flocculated before entering the flotation tank – in this way the very tiny components in the wastewater will form small particles. When mixed with microbubbles these bubbles will attach to the flocs and give buoyancy, so that the flocs will form an upper layer of concentrated sludge, that can be skimmed off.

Bio-Aqua produce standard rectangular and cylindrical flotation units combined with flocculation system before – and sludge dewatering systems after – the flotation unit.

The microbubble pump producing dispersion water is normally placed directly under the flotation tank and uses the flotated, cleaned water as source.

The flotation plant can be designed as a device for rough mass removal of sludge or as fine after polishing for removal tiny elements.
